Jack Warner (actor)

Jack Warner OBE was an English film and television actor. He is closely associated with the role of PC George Dixon, which he played until the age of eighty, but he was also for some years one of Great Britains most popular film stars.

Warner was born Horace John Waters. in Bromley, Poplar, London, the third child of Edward William Waters, master fulling maker and undertakers warehouseman, and Maud Mary Best. His sisters Elsie and Doris Waters were wellknown comedians who usually performed as Gert and Daisy.
